I Do Declare

When LPP says, "Yes, it does," or "Yes, he does," he pronounces the word "does" like dooze, reasoning that he is just adding the 's' to the end of the word "do."  Makes sense, but you gotta love the English language, throwing learners a curveball at every turn!

So here is a conversation that took place 2 days ago in which I tried to correct him:

LPP: "Yes, it dooze."
Me: "Yes, it does." (me correcting him)
LPP: "No, it DOOZE!"
Me: "No, you say, 'It DOES.' It does.  He does.  She does.  I do. You do. We do. They do."
LPP: "What are we doing?"
