The Lorax In Me

I am feeling a bit panicked after learning that the land that lies immediately next to our house, i.e. the land that I thought was our side/backyard, has been bought.  The owner will build a house in a couple of months, which means cutting down the trees, the BEAUTIFUL trees, that greet me every single day when I walk out of my door and peek over to the side.  I am so distraught over the fact that these trees will be gone.  A painful reminder of what the cost is sometimes for what we consider our right, our necessity.  It really makes me sad.
