I've wanted the baby to experience a zoo pretty much since returning East. His favorites by far were the peacock and the kangaroo. What was most amazing about the trip was my excitement at being able to provide him with a new experience and new information for his insatiable brain. His thirst for knowledge is unending and when he asks me, "This?" (i.e. what's this?) and I tell him the word, he repeats the word, every word, trying it on for size and etching it in his verbal memory bank. Exciting times!
