Save The Music

Yesterday morning, I was literally brought to tears watching a great documentary on the HBO Family Channel (a great channel, I might add) called "The Leopards Take Manhattan: The Little Band That Roared". The Leopards are a grade school band (or maybe older) based in Kentucky and they are invited to play a jazz recital in New York City. It was just so touching to see how passionate the children were about being part of the band and how moved they were by the experience of going to a whole new city and performing for a huge crowd. The sense of accomplishment and the boost in confidence these kids experienced are what made me cry. If you can, watch for it on HBO on April 2nd and April 20th.
