Raising Arizona

The baby took his first road trip, to Arizona. We were invited to accompany our friend EDB as she and another friend drove to her parents' house in Arizona. And it was a great escape. The baby did really well on the 4 hour drive, both ways. He slept mostly; on the ride back to Vegas, he was a bit gassy during the last hour and cried a bit, but eventually settled down and enjoyed the ride before conking back out. Brooklyn was also along for the fun (she's staying with EDB), and it was great to see her, I really miss her company and her spirit. She was all about the baby, rushing up to him whenever he cried. She sat perched between the headrests of the back seat and just peered over the baby in his carrier, keeping watch over him. It was cute. At the house, she slept with us on the bottom corner of the bed. The house is absolutely gorgeous and I really felt like I was at a luxurious getaway. Truly a great trip!
